Cootehill Livestock Mart

Cootehill Livestock Mart has been in operation since March 2021 during the Coronavirus pandemic. Cootehill mart originally opened in 1964 and it had originally operated as a railway station which closed in the 1950s. The mart is privately owned and runs three weekly sales as well as a selection of special livestock sales including bi-weekly dairy sales. Cootehill Livestock Mart is now one of only four recognised organic livestock marts in Ireland.

The platform chosen for this project was WordPress. The client's main focus for the project was a simple, easy-to-navigate website which allowed customers to get the information they wanted with as few clicks as possible.

During COVID-19 businesses in this industry had to move all their auctions online, this has resulted in a new market for online auctions and it was vital to the client that they could provide this for their customers. Amy was the team member chosen for this project.

By keeping a neutral colour palette with a strong CTA colour will lead the customer's eye straight to the buttons. Ensuring all CTAs on the website had descriptive text which would allow customers to easily navigate through the website. The end result is a fully user-friendly website that makes registering and watching live auctions online a breeze. The website was launched in June 2022.
