The length of time it takes to create a fully functional website is based on several factors. Custom design work can take anywhere from 1 - 8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design and the number of revisions required. If the client has content such as text and images ready that can reduce the time-frame considerably. Of course, these are general guidelines, and at Opus Web Design we will make every effort to meet the timeframe you have in mind.

Yes and in fact, we encourage it. We build your website online from the off but it will remain hidden to search engines until it is ready to go live. So we provide you with unique link where you can track the progress of your site. During this phase, we encourage your feedback if something isn't quite the way you envisioned it or if you've changed your mind.

In general, we don't recommend the use of templates, but they may be appropriate in certain situations. For example, if you absolutely must have a site launched within the space of a few days, or if you are on an especially limited budget, a template might be an acceptable short-term solution. However, these instances should be the exception rather than the rule as a template is built for anyone to use which means it does not properly represent your company. Also, templates are never optimised for performance, accessibility or security meaning a template site will not be ranked well by search engines.

For small projects, 50% of the estimated fee must be provided prior to beginning work, with the remaining payment due upon completion of the project. For larger projects, an initial payment representing 25% of the estimated total fee is required. The second payment is required upon completion of the project but before the website goes live. Minor changes can be made after the website goes live at no additional cost.

We give as much latitude as we possibly can with all minor revisions provided at no charge. After you've identified and agreed the general format and color schemes of your preferred design, any major revisions may incur additional cost.

Yes. For one time changes, we will provide you with an estimate before beginning the work and charge at our standard hourly rate. If you anticipate regular needs for maintenance, one of our Ongoing Maintenance Plans may be more cost effective for you.

Opus Web Design offers three options for maintaining and refreshing your site content. We don't care which option you choose, but we strongly encourage you to update your site regularly as it is proven to improve traffic and drive customer interaction.
